Cars are famously good subjects for scale models, and marble is famously good material for making sculptures. So what could possibly be better than combining the two with a beautiful model car made of pure Beijing white marble stone? At about two feet (60cm) long and seven inches (18cm) tall, the stone car is certainly not a toy! It’s a showcase of the art of sculpture, and the result of a lifetime of dedication to the craft. The grooves on the rear bed, the detailing on the doors and the side mirrors, and even the carefully fashioned windshield wipers, all painstakingly carved from real Beijing white marble. On top of all this, the natural beauty of the marble shines through, with its subtle off-white color and its classic dark-gray veining.
